Trauma Healing

The LORD is my shepherd ...
He refreshes my soul.

Individuals can suffer trauma in a variety of ways and for a variety of reasons. Survivors of trauma are everywhere among us. They are our peers, our co-workers, our friends, our families, and even ourselves. Trauma can take many different shapes and forms like:

  • witnessing or experiencing a violent event

  • surviving a natural disaster

  • returning home after serving our country

  • surviving a prolonged domestic or partner abuse

  • trying to put the pieces back together after childhood years of physical and/or sexual abuse, neglect or abandonment

  • and so much more …

Whatever trauma people have experienced, the results are the same: trying to mend a life shattered by trauma.

The goal of trauma healing is to give people who are suffering from heart wounds a feeling that they have control over their lives again. Often, trauma can leave a negative impact on and in the soul. KMMI believes that God is able to “…RESTORE THE SOUL…” (Psalm 23:3) Additionally, we believe God wants us to prosper in our soul (our mind-what we think, our will-what we do, and our emotions -what we feel) III John 2

Whatever trauma you have experienced, we are here to help.
